It is an online supplier of stock images, videos, and other image material. Their content comes from agencies and independent photographers, or are collected from news archives, museums, national collections, and public domain content copied from Wikimedia Commons.

Photography and illustrations need to pass our Quality Control (QC) checks. Make sure you check your images before you submit them so you can be confident they'll pass QC. Please note we are not currently accepting AI-generated imagery. Have a read of our guide on how to pass QC to avoid them.

Currently you can't upload mobile phone images to the Alamy Platform but we'll be opening up this route for upload soon. This is a quick and easy way to send us your images: You'll need an FTP client, we recommend Filezilla, FirefTP, WinSCP, Cyberduck, or ClassicFTP.
